1997 Toyota Chaser GX100 Engine Model 1G-FE

Situation
The engine stalled at an idle.
Though it could start.

Cause
Faulty ISCV.

Maintenance
Diagnosis was properly.
I took off ISCV and cleaned it. but it stalled.
Internal resistance of ISCV was properly too.
I electrify a new ISCV  and confirm working.
It worked properly.

Situation
AT warning lamp illuminated.
The car did not run smoothly when it started.

Cause
Faulty transmission solenoid No1

Maintenance
The car did not shift gears other than in third by fail safe system.
Diagnosis noticed cord62 that meant transmission solenoid No1 system.
I checked resistance of the solenoid .
It was out of average level.(Average level 13+-3ohm).

Cause

Situation

Cause
Faulty ECU (engine cotrol unit)

Maintenance
There were not any disconnecting wire, electrical shorts and faulty of electrical source and ground.
Then I judged that ECU was faulty and changed new one.

Situation
The engine idled erratically with hunting when I put on air conditioner.

Cause
Faulty air compressor.

Maintenance
The A/C lamp was blinking after idling with hunting for a while.
Then the car idled properly.
So I judged that air compressor was locked and checked it.
I confirmed the compressor was locked , and chaged rebuilt air compressor.

Cauce
Disconnecting of heater wire in the O2 sensor.

Maintenance
Diagnosis noticed cord P0135 that meant disconnecting of heater wire in O2 sensor.
Then I did continuity test of O2 sensor heater circuit and found disconnecting it.
After that I changed new O2 sensor.

Situation
The car couldn't be put the gear in fourth.

Cause
Faulty oil temperature sensor.

Maintenance
Diagnosis noticed cord38 P0710 that meant oil temperature system.
Then I took off it and checked resistance.
There was disconnecting of wire.
I changed new oil temperature sensor.

Toyota Ipsum SXM10G A/C Compressor OFF

Situation
After turning on A/C switch, A/C indicator lamp blinked and turning off A/C compressor.

Cause
Faulty A/C compressor lock sensor

Maintenance
When I checked the A/C compressor lock switch, I found that the sensor had been breaking of wire.
Then I rapaired it to soler .
It worked properly.

Faulty OCV

Diagnosis noticed P1349 that meant VVT system.
This car did not change E/G oil oftenly.
There were excessive carbon built-up in the OCV.
Then I changed OCV and VVT assembly.

Situation
Radiator fan and condenser fan rotated at IG switch on.

Cause
Faulty Coolant temperature sensor.

Maintenance
At first I looked into wiring diagram.
Then I judged that coolant temperature sensor or pressure switch had had problem.
The pressure switch was properly.
I checked the coolant temperature sensor .
It was faulty. Then I changed new coolant temperature sensor.

Toyota Premio ZZT240 A/C Lamp Blink

2003 Toyota Premio ZZT240

Situation
A/C lamp was blinking after a short time when the A/C switch turned on.

Cause
Faulty A/C magnet clutch

Maintenance
The panel diagnosis noticed No22 that meant locked compressor.
Then I checked the magnet clutch and measured the resistance.
The resistance should be185+-20ohm.
But it was 250ohm. Then I changed new magnet clutch.

Situation
The engine stalled at an idle.

Cause
Faulty ECU ( computer)

Maintenance
Carbon sludge were piled up by exhaust gas recirculation system.
I cleaned ECU, but it did not work well.
Then I exchaged new ECU ( computer).

Situation
Check engine lamp illuminated.
The car run smoothly.

Cause
the nozzle of injectors clogged.

Maintenance
Diagnosis noticed P0171 that meant defect of lean vapor.
So I checked air-flow meter, spark plugs and O2 sensor.
But they were properly.
Then I took off fuel injectors and checked them.
All a third of fuel injection nozzles were clloged by carbon sludge.
After that I cleaned them and it work properly.

Toyota Landcruiser HDJ81V Gear Not Move

Situation
The automatic transmission selector lever didn't move from Park.

Cause
Disconnecting electronics ignition fuse 15A.

Maintenance
When I pressed the brake pedal, the stoplamp illuminated.
The signal of stoplamp switch was input to the No6 terminal of shift lock control relay.
The key inter lock system was properly.
Becuase of this I judged that electrical power supply and grounding wire were properly.
Then I changed a shift lock control relay , but it didn't work well.
After that I checked the voltage of the No3 terminal of the shift lock relay.
I found that there was no voltage and checked electronics ignition fuse 15A.
The fuse was disconnecting.
Then I changed the 15A fuse.

Cause
Faulty SRS control unit

Situation
The engine rotated but would not start.

Cause
Faulty ignition coil.

Maintenance
Firstly I checked electrical system and did spark test.
Spark were weak.
Then I found that there were leak at one of the ignition coil.
I changed it new ignition coil.

Nissan Sunny FB15 E/G Stall

2001 Nissan Sunny FB15 Engine Model QG15DE

Situation
Engine started but stoped immidiately without pressing accelrator.

Cause
Faulty Engine computer and AAC valve.

Maintenance
Diagnosis was properly.
 I took off the AAC valve and checked it.
The value of resistance was out of average.(27-33ohm)
I exchanged new AAC valve. but it didn't work well.
After that I took off the engine computer
and found that platform had been burning.
Then I exchanged new engine computer.
Finaly It worked properly.

Situation
Engine check lamp illuminated.
The engine was hunting a liittle at an idle.

Cause
Faulty throttle position sensor.

Maintenance
Diagnosis noticed that cord P0120 which meant throttle sensor systems.
I used a service manual and confirmed by data monitor.
Then I checked throttle sensor of accelration angle and idling switch.
The throttle sensor was 0% (Faulty)
The idling switch was off (faulty)
After that I took off the throttle position sensor and checked it.
It was disconnecting at ON.(Faulty)
Then I judged that it had been faulty and exchanged new throttle position sensor.

Nissan Figaro FK10 Coolant Leakage

1991 Nissan Figaro FK10 Engine Model MA10

Situation
Coolant leakage in the timing belt cover.

Cause
Coolant leakage from the water pump and a bolt of the tensioner pulley.

Maintenance
I took off timing belt cover and timing belt and checked leakage from the water pump.
Then I exchaged new water pump and tested water pressure.
After that I found leakage between the timing belt and tensioner pulley.
It came from the bolt of tensioner pulley.
Then I changed a new bolt using lock sealing.
